About The Eastside Pawject

Hi, I’m Chelsea, cofounder of Eastside Pawject and lifelong animal advocate. I started grooming in 2011 and spent two years working at Indianapolis Animal Care and Control as an Animal Control Officer. Over the years, I’ve worn just about every hat in the rescue community, from hands-on animal care to coordinating adoptions and building connections between organizations.

I’m married to a wonderful man (Harry) who never hesitates to jump in and help an animal in need. I’m also a proud stepmom to two amazing girls. At home, life is full with five rescue dogs, several cats, and two squeaky birds who like to keep things lively.

Hey there! I’m Bethany, proud owner of The Fluffy Puppy, which I founded in 2014, and cofounder of Eastside Pawject. I’ve been married for 20 years to a very patient husband (Bill)  who puts up with our full house of rescue animals — five dogs, two cats, and a couple of loud little birds.

Animals have always been my heart and what started as just grooming turned into a mission to help pets (and their people!) on the east side of Indianapolis. Whether it’s microchipping, food pantries, or just being there when someone needs advice, I love finding ways to keep pets healthy and happy.

I’m an avid dog lover and proud dog mom to three rescue bully mixes. My husband Lee and I have fostered and adopted many pets over the years, and our hearts will always belong to bully breeds. I’m the director at a social work agency, where I’ve worked for nearly two decades, and I bring that same passion for helping people to the Eastside Pawject.

I love the East Side and believe in building a community where pets and their people have the resources they need to thrive. I strongly support diversity and inclusivity, and I want to make sure our organization is welcoming and accessible to everyone. I enjoy connecting with neighbors, advocating for responsible pet ownership, and collaborating with other local groups to create lasting change.

Serving as Secretary and Board Member gives me the chance to combine my professional experience and my love for animals, helping keep our projects organized and moving forward for the pets and people who need us most.

I’ve been part of the English family for more than 21 years — and little did I know that marrying into this family would also mean diving headfirst into the world of animal welfare and rescue. I’ve worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years, developing strong organizational and project management skills that I now bring to the Eastside Pawject. I’ve also volunteered with several organizations over the years, giving me valuable experience to support our mission. At home, I share my life with my husband Geoff, our two beautiful children, and our two rescue dogs. I’m honored to serve as Treasurer and Board Member, helping keep everything organized so we can focus on making a difference for pets and people.

I’ve been a pet groomer for over 17 years, and my passion for animals shines through in everything I do. I have a special place in my heart for senior pets and those with special needs, and I love working with them most. At home, I share my life with two beautiful cats who keep me entertained. My compassionate nature, organization skills, and (not-so-secret) love of office supplies make me the perfect fit to serve as Event Coordinator and Board Member for the Eastside Pawject — and I can’t wait to plan events that bring our community together for a great cause.

I’ve been a pet groomer for 20 years and have had a passion for animal welfare my whole life. If there’s an animal in need, I’m probably already on my way — whether it’s helping a turtle cross the road, rescuing a baby bird from a tree, or caring for a colony of feral cats. At home, I share my life with three dogs, six rescue cats, one turtle, and a tortoise. My love for animals and strong people skills make me excited to serve as Volunteer Coordinator for the Eastside Pawject, connecting our community with ways to get involved — and maybe talk you into volunteering too!

I’m the proud husband of Chelsea and dad to two amazing girls, and I share my home with Chelsea and our many pets. I may not have known what I was getting into with this crazy rescue life, but I jumped in with both feet and have never looked back. Whether it’s wading through a creek or freeing a raccoon with a jar stuck on its head in the middle of the night, I’m always ready to help. I bring carpentry skills, people skills, and a willingness to tackle any job. I’m proud to serve as an Essential Member and Lead Security Officer for the Eastside Pawject.

I have served in the Army for 22 years and share my home with Bethany and all of our pets. As the co-owner of The Fluffy Puppy, I’ve helped build a business that supports the East Side community we care so much about. Whenever Bethany brings home a new stray or foster animal, I’m the first to step in and help.

I bring not only my skills as a spreadsheet wizard but also my experience with technology and the structure and order I’ve learned through my years of military service to keep everyone on track. I’m excited to be part of the Eastside Pawject, to use my skills to help pets and people — and maybe keep Bethany from bringing home too many strays.

I have been an animal lover all my life and share my home with my wife Leslie and our three rescue bully mixes. Together we have fostered and adopted many pets, and rescue work is close to my heart. I have a long history of working with nonprofits, which gives me a strong understanding of how to support our mission effectively. I am a bit of a jack of all trades, bringing my skills in technology, carpentry, and more to the Eastside Pawject. I am also an active CERT member, and I love using my experience to keep our community and its pets safe and supported.
